​Welcome to My Culinary Compass! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including booking a personal chef, meal preparation, and accessing our website. By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services

My Culinary Compass provides personal chef services, including meal planning, preparation, and delivery (where applicable). We aim to accommodate your dietary preferences and needs as communicated by you. Services are subject to availability and may vary based on location, chef availability, and ingredient sourcing.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: All bookings must be made through our website, email, or phone. A booking is confirmed only after we send you a confirmation email or message.

  • Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as specified on our website. Prices are in US dollars and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • Ingredient Costs: Some bookings may incur additional costs for premium or specialty ingredients (e.g., organic produce, rare spices). These will be communicated and agreed upon before service.

  • Late Payments: If payment is not received on time for custom agreements, we reserve the right to cancel the service or charge a late fee of 5% of the outstanding amount per week, up to a maximum of 15%.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Client Cancellations: You may cancel a booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled service for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 24 hours of the service.

  • Our Cancellations: If we need to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., chef unavailability, ingredient shortages), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund or rescheduling option.

  • No-Shows: If you are not present at the agreed time and location for the service without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

  • Refunds: Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.​

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: You must provide accurate information about dietary preferences, allergies, and restrictions at the time of booking. My Culinary Compass is not liable for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information.

  • Kitchen Access: For in-home services, you must provide a clean, functional kitchen space with necessary utilities (e.g., stove, oven, sink). We are not responsible for delays or issues due to inadequate facilities.

  • Conduct: You agree to treat our chefs and staff with respect. We reserve the right to terminate a service without refund if a client’s behavior is abusive, threatening, or unsafe.

5. Food Safety and Allergies

  • We follow industry-standard food safety practices during meal preparation. However, meals may be prepared in facilities that handle common allergens (e.g., nuts, dairy, gluten).

  • It is your responsibility to inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions. We are not liable for allergic reactions or health issues unless caused by our gross negligence.

  • For delivered meals, you must store and reheat food according to our provided instructions. We are not responsible for spoilage or illness due to improper storage or handling after delivery.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including recipes, meal plans, logos, and images, is the property of My Culinary Compass or its licensors and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • My Culinary Compass is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to allergic reactions, foodborne illnesses, or dissatisfaction with meals, unless caused by our gross negligence.

  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes, such as weight loss or health improvements, from our meal plans or services.

8. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for payment processing, delivery, or website hosting. We are not responsible for the performance or policies of these third parties. Please review their terms and conditions when applicable.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at our discretion, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to violation of these terms, non-payment, or fraudulent activity.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Florida. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website, and the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
